Melanie
McCormick
People's
Warden
On January
23, Melanie McCormick was elected the first People's Warden
of the new millennium. Melanie joined the parish last
year and served as Deputy Warden before being elected to her
present position. In September Melanie and her fiancé
will be married in the church.
Melanie's
professional experience is in graphic design. After graduating
from Weston Collegiate Institute, she received a diploma in
"package and graphic design" from Humber College,
Rexdale. She has worked as a graphic designer at Forthought
Design, Spectratone Graphics, and more recently, at Elcyda Corporation
Limited.
At the same
meeting of Vestry at which Melanie was elected, her predecessor,
Fran McInroy, received an inscribed icon of the Good Shepherd
as a token of the congregation's gratitude and appreciation.
